This September, you’re invited to come try some of Brooklyn’s finest craft spirits at New York Distilling Co. in support of The Sylvia Center!
At this happy hour for a good cause, you’ll meet others who are passionate about making good, healthy food accessible to all. You’ll also hear from some of TSC’s seasoned chef instructors, who teach hundreds of young people and their families how to cook each year, and learn how you can get involved.
Proceeds from this event will support The Sylvia Center’s healthy cooking program for youth, teens, and families in the Williamsburg Community Center.
About The Sylvia Center
The mission of The Sylvia Center (TSC) is to inspire young people and their families to eat well–so that they may lead healthy and productive lives. TSC conducts food literacy programs in schools and New York City Housing Authority community centers, and at Katchkie Farm in upstate New York. In our programs, youth, teens, and families learn basic cooking techniques and the principles of healthy eating through hands-on experiences with fresh, whole foods.
