Tara Nash
Operations and Programs Evaluation Associate
Tara is a San Francisco Bay Area native converted New Yorker that has fallen in love with this city for the past two years. She is a recent master's of Public Health graduate from Columbia University and previously graduated with a bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley. Some of you may know her as she started her journey with The Sylvia Center as a program evaluation volunteer through Columbia, to being hired as a Chef Assistant, then Chef Instructor, and to now working full time as an Operations and Programs Evaluation Associate! She has fallen in love with TSC so much that she had to keep getting involved. In her freetime she continues to work with community stakeholders to prioritize healthier, nutritious futures. She's worked with majority leader council member Keith Powers, testifying for the Sweet Truth Act, published in 11 Seconds Magazine for women's reproductive advocacy, raised over $3,000 of free food for NYC community fridges, and mentors underserved students pursuing STEM careers. She also loves puppies and fosters rescue dogs from South Korea!
