Ryan was born in to a large family where cooking was and is an integral part of shared experiences. Ryan‘s passion for cooking evolved into a dedication to a holistic understanding of food systems, their shortcomings, and collaborative solutions to those shortcomings. Ryan‘s experiences as a Youthmarket Manager with GrowNYC and Manager of The Kids’ Table, a vegetable-forward kids cooking school, led her to join The Sylvia Center as a continuation of her work in food equity and education. As the Operations Director, Ryan wears many hats, but her favorite part of the job is getting to interact with our students. In her free time, Ryan can be found in the kitchen mixing and matching flavors from around the world or making her grandma’s recipe for spaghetti and meatballs.
