Chef Educator & Program Coordinator

Kate Snider is a Program Coordinator and Chef Educator at The Sylvia Center. Prior to joining the team, Kate spent years as a Pastry Chef at top-rated New York City and Hudson Valley restaurants. After being awarded a position in the James Beard Women in Culinary Leadership program, Kate opened Honey’s Baking, a custom pastry business heavily inspired by her Israeli heritage. In addition, Kate spent three years developing Lifelines to Solitary, a nationwide pen pal project connecting those in solitary confinement with those on the outside. It is her passion for cooking, social advocacy, and nutrition that led her to The Sylvia Center. In her free time, Kate can be found writing poetry and running trails through Columbia County.
