
David Kramer
David Kramer serves on the Board of Directors of The Sylvia Center. He is the President of Hudson Companies, a leading New York City housing developer responsible for creating more than 15,000 homes across the five boroughs, including affordable, market-rate, and supportive housing. Over his three decades in the field, David has become known for building vibrant, inclusive communities and for championing projects that strengthen the fabric of New York City.
In addition to his work at Hudson, David has held leadership roles on several civic and nonprofit boards, including the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, the Coro New York Leadership Center, and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, where he served as Board Chair. He also helped launch People for Parks in Los Angeles as its founding Executive Director.
A longtime supporter of The Sylvia Center, David has attended many Art of Cooking events and recently visited one of our middle school classes, where he saw firsthand the impact of hands-on culinary education. A native New Yorker and proud Brooklyn resident, he brings a deep commitment to community wellbeing, health, and opportunity to his role on the Board.
