Kiana is a Chef Educator with The Sylvia Center. She grew up on Long Island, spending her summers cooking alongside her mom and preparing what her family caught while fishing and clamming—early experiences that shaped her deep respect for food, place, and seasonality. Alongside her work with The Sylvia Center, Kiana is an Outdoor Educator and farmer–gardener, roles that keep her closely connected to the land and the rhythms of growing and harvesting. She loves cooking at home and nourishing herself, her loved ones, and her community, always drawing inspiration from what’s in season. Kiana sees food as a powerful way to care for people and build community, which is what drew her to The Sylvia Center. When she’s not teaching or gardening, she enjoys making art, gathering with friends, and spending time outdoors with her dog and partner.
