Sophie Lipitz is a chef, educator, food stylist and forager trained informally on farms, the NYC pop-up event scene and, periodically, brick-and-mortar restaurants. She now runs her own upstate private cheffing business. Her practice is rooted in community-generating events driven by food justice and storytelling, and at The Sylvia Center, Sophie actively focuses on bringing the idea of "play" to her middle-school and teen classes. She also brings her wealth of culinary experience to recipe testing and developing for TSC programs, centering her students' ideas and culture.
