A Brooklyn native now living in Staten Island, Tahjané first connected with The Sylvia Center years ago and is excited to finally join the team as a Chef Assistant. A pastry and culinary arts student at Kingsborough Community College, she plans to graduate in spring 2026 and hopes to one day start a custom business creating decorative cakes and cookies. She's passionate about helping students gain confidence in the kitchen, and learn alongside them as they explore new foods and flavors. When she's not working with TSC or baking, she spends her time gardening—though not houseplants, she strikes out every time—and hanging out with her two cats, Buttercup and Tails.
