Born in Georgia and now based in Hudson, Ty has loved cooking since she was eight years old. Her love of food led her to Hudson after-school program Kite’s Nest, where she joined cooking classes as a participant, later being hired as a Chef Educator. Now a Chef Assistant with The Sylvia Center, she helps young people discover confidence and community in the kitchen. For Ty, cooking is more than a skill—it’s a way to connect and nurture. She’s passionate about exploring diverse cuisines and creating spaces where kids feel safe, seen, and supported. Outside the kitchen, Ty flexes her creative muscles through nail art, make-up, and hair-styling.
