MADELEINE FISCHER

Chef Educator

Madeleine Fischer teaches cooking classes as a Chef Educator for The Sylvia Center. She learned her cooking and nutrition skills during her three years as a Program Coordinator and Program Manager at TSC. Maddie loves to share her knowledge with kids, teens, and families because she believes everyone deserves to be able to prepare and eat the foods that they want. Her passion for food and cooking began with her work on youth education farms, vegetable production farms, and working in the kitchen with her family as a kid. She now lives in Colorado where she teaches Sylvia Center cooking classes virtually. When she’s not cooking, she is exploring the mountains with her husband, knitting, or spending time with family, friends and her cat. Maddie earned her BS in Community and Environmental Sociology and International Studies with a Certificate in French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016. She will begin her Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning in 2021. She hopes to use this degree to plan community and regional food systems.
