Nelsy joined The Sylvia Center as a Chef Assistant after participating in two summers of programming as a student. Originally from Venezuela, she has called New York home for nearly three years. Nelsy finds comfort and joy in the kitchen, where cooking and baking feel like second nature. Whether preparing savory meals or crafting sweet desserts, she sees food as a powerful way to connect with others. When she’s not in the kitchen, she enjoys spending time at home with her beautiful goldfish. She’s excited to continue growing with TSC and supporting students as they discover confidence and creativity through cooking.
