SARAH HEASLEY

Chef Educator & Program Coordinator

Sarah is originally from Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Columbus State Culinary School with her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. After culinary school, she took her skills and became a Pastry Chef In New York City bakeries, and taught baking classes. She loves using her love for baking, and nutrition to find ways to make her favorite desserts healthier. Sarah has worked at The Sylvia Center since February of 2019 as a Chef Educator and Program Coordinator. For her first year at The Sylvia Center, she was teaching in-person classes in Middle Schools and High schools around New York City. She now teaches virtual classes to students and families. Her favorite part of the virtual classes is when everyone showcases what they made at the end of class. Sarah also filmed video cooking series for the Noodle passport and Pancake passport. In her free time, Sarah enjoys gardening, being outside anytime it’s warm, cooking Thai food, and eating as many peaches as possible.
