My loving relationship to food started early, picking tomatoes off the vine in my mother’s tiny garden in Central Jersey. I'm a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute and run my private cheffing business, Nourished by Melissa. Prior to that, I worked with Wellness in the Schools. My career has always been focused on providing families with the tools to lead healthier and happier lives, and I have a passion for bringing an excitement of cooking to kids and adults. I live in Bed Stuy, and am low-key obsessed with mushrooms.
