Better Skills, Bigger Impact: A Year of Professional Development

Our students aren’t the only ones going back to school this fall. Thanks to a generous $25,000 grant from the William T. Grant Foundation, The Sylvia Center is rolling out a full year of monthly professional development sessions for our staff, covering everything from public health nutrition and differentiated learning needs to hands-on culinary training and curriculum development.

This grant helps us do something we care deeply about: invest in our people. When we make sure our educators have the tools and support they need, our programs become stronger, and we’re better able to support the students and families we serve. In other words, we’re excited to keep getting better at what we do!

We can’t wait to share details from our professional development sessions in the months ahead.
