Welcome to Our Board: David Kramer!

David Kramer

We’re thrilled to welcome David Kramer to The Sylvia Center’s Board of Directors.

David brings more than three decades of leadership in housing development, community planning, and nonprofit service. As President of Hudson Companies Inc., he has guided the development of over 15,000 residential units across New York City, spanning market-rate, affordable, institutional, and supportive housing. His work has been recognized with numerous industry honors, including being named Private Developer of the Year by the New York State Housing Conference.

David’s commitment to community extends far beyond real estate. He has served on the boards of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, the Coro Foundation, and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy—where he also served as Chair—and was the founding Executive Director of People for Parks in Los Angeles.

A longtime supporter of The Sylvia Center, David has attended many Art of Cooking events and recently visited one of our middle school classes at NEST+m, where he saw firsthand the impact of our culinary education model. With his deep roots in New York City, passion for community wellbeing, and belief in expanding opportunity for young people and families, David is a powerful addition to our Board.

We’re excited for the vision, experience, and heart he brings to The Sylvia Center—and can’t wait for the work we’ll do together.
