Our 10th Annual Farm to Table Dinner was held last Saturday in the beautiful fields of Katchkie Farm. With a delicious menu, curated by the spectacular Great Performances, guests enjoyed the bounty of the summer with Elderflower Cocktails, Housemade Pickles and Fermented Grape Leaves with Goat Cheese, followed by a buffet dinner of Whole Grilled Chicken, Wild Hives Spelt Berry Salad, Greenhouse Cherry Tomatoes with Sea Salt and Olive Oil, and more. The night was filled with joyous moments among friends, laughter and even contra dancing!
For The Sylvia Center, it was a chance to reflect on ten years of sowing seeds in the community, which has now grown into thousands of students attending farm programs and learning essential cooking skills in Columbia County. Though it was an evening to reflect, we also look forward to the work the lies ahead in the next decade. It was certainly a Tenth Anniversary celebration to remember.
