The Art of Cooking Gala 2017

The 2017 gala was filled with delicious food, great friends and vibrant students who shared what they have learned through cooking and eating together. Thank you to all of our friends and supporters who were in attendance — we couldn’t have done it without you!  This event has historically been a time of celebration, and especially in our tenth year, it has been a time to reflect on the impact we’ve had in the lives of young people.  This year, in particular, we have been reminded of the importance to continue uplifting young people during this critical time.  The Art of Cooking gala has raised $775,000 from 300 guests in attendance. A BIG thank you to our guests, support staff, sponsors, donors, culinary partner Chef Michael White, Great Performances, Hudson Mercantile, and especially our honoree and great supporter, Joe Ravitch, for whom so much of this was possible.  We look forward to continuing the work and another decade of making a difference in the lives of young people and their families.

Don’t forget to visit Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream throughout the month of November. $1 from every scoop of NY Honey Apple will be donated to The Sylvia Center.
