On Saturday, August 1, friends old and new gathered at Katchkie Farm for The Sylvia Center’s 19th Annual Farm to Table fundraiser—a celebration of delicious food, meaningful connection, and the young people at the heart of our mission.
Guests explored the Learning Garden during our Discovery Walk, where they met staff, sampled fresh produce, and learned how hands-on experiences in the garden help young people build confidence, curiosity, and lifelong healthy habits. During cocktail hour, guests also enjoyed seasonal bites prepared and served by students from Perfect Ten in Hudson and The Mindful Miller Mustangs in Kingston, featuring recipes they helped develop alongside Sylvia Center educators.
As everyone gathered beneath the tent for dinner, Learning Garden Manager Julie and Learning Garden Intern Nate shared heartfelt reflections on the transformative power of connecting young people with fresh food.
Guests enjoyed a beautiful farm-fresh dinner generously prepared by Great Performances, accompanied by live music and surrounded by the fields, gardens, and community that make Farm to Table such a special tradition.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, the evening raised more than $160,000 to help The Sylvia Center continue bringing hands-on cooking and food education to thousands of young people and families across New York City and the Hudson Valley.
To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, bid in the auction, or helped make the evening possible: thank you. Your support ensures more young people have the opportunity to discover where food comes from, build confidence in the kitchen, and develop skills that last a lifetime.
