No bake energy bites with Chef Destiny!

These are the perfect snack for on the go! They’re easy to make and will supply your body with protein and fiber to keep you feeling full and energized. You can add your favorite ingredients into these treats to customize them to your taste. It’s also a great way to use what you already have on hand.

In this video Chef Destiny uses ingredients like chia seeds, flax seeds, oats, nut butter, honey, and chocolate chips to make a yummy, yet nutrient dense snack.

 

No Bake Energy Bites

Servings: 16-18  (small cups) 

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Rolled Oats 
  • 1.5 cup Sunflower Butter
  • 1 cup Honey
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Seed
  • 1 cup Flax Seed
  • 1 cup Chia Seed
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Fresh fruit chopped into bite size pieces/dried fruit

**1 cup=16 tbsp: with 16 students, each can have up to 3 tbsp oats, 1 tbsp seed butter (heaping), and 1 tbsp of honey, seeds and chocolate 

Procedure

  1. Wash all fruit
  2. Place all of the ingredients in separate bowls and have plenty of tbsps/spoons so the students can measure out the ingredients themselves. (Ideal to have TAs to help!)
  3. Pass out plastic cups to each student
  4. Have the students taste all of the different ingredients individually to talk about flavor and texture 
  5. Add all ingredients to cup and stir, stir, stir! (If using fresh fruit add at the end)
